One of them said that it is now the turn of Reserved candidates so the upper classes can forego their studies.

I do not mind long comments Varuag, so please go ahead and share your thoughts. :-)Sanjanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13200956002578533966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19482707.post-1150631997821413552006-06-18T17:29:00.000+05:302006-06-18T17:29:00.000+05:30well, heres one more point to think about...one of...well, heres one more point to think about...
one of the greatest arguments put by pro reservation people has been something like - we've been oppressed for 2000 years so reservation wud act as a punishment to upper classes or something to that effect. but while saying this it is conveniently forgoten that this caste system was structured like a pyramid, and every layer in this pyramid has been guilty of suppressing those below them... in my village in bihar even today we see that chamars(SCs) are not allowed to pull water from wells belonging to yadavs(so called oppressed obcs). amazing how those very ppl go out and justify reservation for themselves. by this argument every caste except the ones on top ie brahmins can demend reservations which is simply absurd.

too long...huh, sorry, got a bit carried away, wud hav put this in my blog if i had one...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
